In my efforts to learn all I could about karaoke for an independent film I 'm making, I was directed to this website that totally rocks!!

The movie is basically a "mockumentary" like Best in Show meets karaoke. I have a short film based on one of the charaxcters playing at IFILM.com -- please go there and check it out and type in "The King of Karaoke" in the search box -- I'm trying to generate some buzz, so vote on it too!! Thanks ...

When viewing King of Karaoke, we were struck with the fact that this character may be perpetuating the perception of what karaoke is to those who have never tried it. Although he is over-the-top, he is still oddly believable and the piece views like a documentary and not necessarily its intended mockumentary. I am hoping that the film you are currently producing illuminates this point a little stronger. Karaoke for many has a negative connotation while we have seen first hand its theraputic benefits. You might want to check out our Personal Stories page if you haven't already found it.

...that being said...good work Terry! A 1st class effort...just maybe a little too real.
