Homage to Scotland
Billed as one of the only truly authentic Scottish pubs in the greater Ottawa area, the Black Bear Pub on Bay Street is a worthy homage to the nation of Scotland that no true Scotsman would deny. Located adjacent to the Bay Street Bistro in Ottawa’s touristy hotel district, the Black Bear Pub recreates the ambiance of a traditional Scottish pub right down to the last detail, making it the ideal place where friends can get together for a couple of drinks after work or class.

Forty-Five Scotches
Featuring an authentic pub-style décor complete with wood panelling and coats of arms relating the history of the Old Country, the Black Bear is proud to offer customers a choice of more than forty-five different scotches and seventeen draft beers, including four imported straight from Scotland. And like any real Scottish pub, the Black Bear also serves up a number of food items like sirloin steak, pizza and pasta, not to mention everyone’s favourite Scottish delicacy, haggis.
